Comforting cabbage soup
The soup is always very good choice for the cold days or for the days when we need something healthy and warm. Soup is a simple dish, but will delight even the most demanding food lovers. It can be prepared in few steps with simple everyday ingredients.
Ingredients
- 500 g stale bread
- 250 g cabbage leaves
- 200 g grated cheddar cheese
- 1, 3 l vegetable stock
Method
Bread cut into 1 cm wide slices and also the cabbage into strips. Add a layer of bread in an ovenproof pot. Cover with ⅓ of grated cheese. Top with ½ of cabbage. Repeat the layers once more. Finish with cheddar cheese. Pour 1,3 l vegetable stock into the pot. Bake at 180 °C for 30 minutes. Serve warm.
