brownies

Use this recipe to make decadent chocolate brownies. These irresistible fudge squares are easy to make and will turn any bad day around. Don’t hesitate and try them still warm with a scoop of ice cream on the side.

Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g dark chocolate
  • 250 g brown cane sugar
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 180 g white wheat flour
  • 50 g cocoa powder
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon rum – optional

Method

Break dark chocolate into small pieces, add butter and drop into a bowl. Fill a small saucepan about a quarter full with hot water, then sit the bowl on top so it rests on the rim of the pan, not touching the water. Put over a low heat until the butter and chocolate have melted, stirring occasionally to mix them.

Whisk the eggs, sugar and salt until they look thick and creamy. Pour the cooled chocolate mixture over the eggy mousse, then gently fold together with a spatula. Add combined sugar, flour and cocoa powder and stir gently. For that extra kick you can add one tablespoon of rum. Pour the mixture into a greased baking tray.

Preheat your oven to 170 °C (ventilation) and bake for 30 minutes. Let it cool before slicing. Or not. Either way you’ll finish the batch in one sitting. With or without ice cream.

Make memories: built-in ovens

HomeMade shape The characteristic rounded shape is one of the most beneficial features of Gorenje ovens. Inspired by traditional wood-burning ovens, it enables hot air to move around freely. Since the food is heated evenly and from all sides, it is always perfectly done: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.Read more
