  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 4 lemon slices
  • 1 ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Pat dry 4 salmon filets with a paper towel and season them with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large non-stick pan, then place the salmon filets skin side down. Press gently with a spatula and cook for 5-6 minutes, then flip and sear for another 1-2 minutes before transferring the salmon to a plate. In the same pan, melt 50 grams of butter and add 4 chopped garlic cloves along with 4 thin slices of lemon, stirring and cooking for 30 seconds. Pour in 1 ½ tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey, seasoning with ⅓ teaspoon each of salt and black pepper. Stir and cook for another 30 seconds until the sauce becomes creamy. Return the salmon to the pan, coat it in the lemon sauce, and cook on low heat for 30-60 seconds. Transfer the salmon to a plate, pour over the sauce, and serve with roasted vegetables or potatoes.
