Festive coconut macroons recipe

These festive coconut macaroons are a must-have for Christmas gatherings, gift boxes, or a cozy baking day at home.
Ingredients
- 200 g desiccated coconut
- 120 g powdered sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 egg whites (90-100 g)
- 60 g dark chocolate 60-70%
Method
In a heatproof bowl, combine 200 g of coconut, 120 g of powdered sugar, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 3 egg whites. Cook the mixture over a water bath for 5–7 minutes, stirring continuously until the coconut paste becomes looser and slightly juicy. Divide the mixture into 20 even portions, shaping each into a small tree cone, and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 10–14 minutes, until the tips are lightly golden. Dip the base of each cone into melted chocolate, place them back on baking paper, and let them set. Store in an airtight container.
