Well, here’s something worth sharing: Company Gorenje, part of Hisense Europe, was just awarded the EcoVadis platinum medal, the world’s most trusted sustainability rating platform. That puts us in the top 1% of companies globally when it comes to responsible business practices.

And we’re not telling you this to brag (okay, maybe just a little) – we’re sharing it because it matters. To us. And maybe to you, too.

So, what is EcoVadis?

Think of EcoVadis as the Michelin guide for sustainability. It doesn’t hand out stars for fancy food, but it does rate companies on how well they treat the planet, their people, and their communities. Over 150,000 companies are assessed, and only a tiny fraction make it to the top.

Gorenje got there thanks to years of hard work: reducing energy use, improving working conditions, making products that last longer, and being transparent about it all. It’s not about one-time campaigns – it’s about building a better way of doing business, every single day.

Behind the scenes: What we’re doing differently

We’ve been on this journey for a while. Silver medals in 2023 and 2024 were great – but we knew we could do more. So, we did. We strengthened our sustainability strategy, verified our reporting, and earned certifications like ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 50001 (energy), and SA8000 (social responsibility). We even joined the UN Global Compact.

And yes, we beat some of the biggest names in the industry. But more importantly, we proved to ourselves – and to you – that we’re serious about this.
